A Mug of Me
Stiffer than a Shot of Espresso

hello from halifx

2005-06-16
hello peeps,

i am sitting in an internet cafe named paper chase in downtown halifax. it is a RAINY to say the least outside. so i walked around for about an hour and retreated to this place for lunch and a billion cups of coffee. : ) it's dry and i get to watch canadians up close. i have never left so american in my life. these people are so friendly and nice. now i am. but i have found that most americans i live around are standoffish and brisk with their peers and worse with strangers. not so canadians. from my taxi driver to the lady in the elevator to the pilates instructor over there on the couch. cool people. i wish i had more than a day to enjoy this place. perhaps another summer. i have been told NEVER to come here during the winter. hahaha

so i board the ship tomorrow at 8am. i pray all my paperwork is together. i know i shouldn't worry but it's the last minute things that i am bad at. : ) so i check and recheck and check again my forms and photocopies.

i trust that since check-in is til noon, if there is trouble i can sort it out with no hassles before that time. ohgod i hope. and anyway, i'm not some college kid, and just paid a big chunk of change to go on this trip. i better get n the damned ship!

this cafe is great for people watching. i am on the second floor overlooking the street out front. and it's awesome. : )

once more this is the blog for the eurotrip: http://homepage.mac.com/rmshultz/blogwavestudio/index.html

...i am trying not make this a boring blog. but i wonder....it'll probably end up being a diary of moments that are only relevant to me. : ( i will try and do my best to post stuff that will be of interest to all.

ok, back to coffee and people watching!

see you soon in the funnies,
me
